Sales Results for Turkish Real Estate Announced for June 2024

In June 2024, a total of 79,313 residential properties were sold in Turkey, which is a 5.2% decrease compared to June 2023. The majority of sales were concentrated in the following regions:

  • Istanbul: 13,025 properties
  • Ankara: 6,866 properties
  • Izmir: 4,361 properties

The lowest number of sales was recorded in:

  • Ardahan: 34 properties
  • Hakkari: 40 properties
  • Tunceli: 44 properties
  • Bayburt: 44 properties

In the first six months of 2024, the total number of real estate transactions amounted to 545,074, a decrease of 3.7% compared to the same period last year. In June, 4,440 homes were sold to foreign buyers, which is 4% less than in June 2023, accounting for 1.8% of the total sales volume. The main regions for foreign purchases were:

  • Antalya: 593 homes
  • Istanbul: 478 homes
  • Mersin: 116 homes

The most active foreign buyers were citizens from:

  • Russia: 332 buyers
  • Iran: 156 buyers
  • Ukraine: 102 buyers
