In June 2024, a total of 79,313 residential properties were sold in Turkey, which is a 5.2% decrease compared to June 2023. The majority of sales were concentrated in the following regions:
- Istanbul: 13,025 properties
- Ankara: 6,866 properties
- Izmir: 4,361 properties
The lowest number of sales was recorded in:
- Ardahan: 34 properties
- Hakkari: 40 properties
- Tunceli: 44 properties
- Bayburt: 44 properties
In the first six months of 2024, the total number of real estate transactions amounted to 545,074, a decrease of 3.7% compared to the same period last year. In June, 4,440 homes were sold to foreign buyers, which is 4% less than in June 2023, accounting for 1.8% of the total sales volume. The main regions for foreign purchases were:
- Antalya: 593 homes
- Istanbul: 478 homes
- Mersin: 116 homes
The most active foreign buyers were citizens from:
- Russia: 332 buyers
- Iran: 156 buyers
- Ukraine: 102 buyers
